Each issue a new play list will be featured from a station or record pool that normally does not receive recognition... everyone can pretty much access BDS and MediaBase stations, so Starpoynt magazine is going to be different and showcase the "others." How 'bout that!

Ronnie Matthews has one of the most renowned and respected record pools in the country - Starfleet, based in North Carolina. Those of you who don't know what a record pool is - it's basically a member-driven organization of club and radio station disc jockeys who meet periodlically to listen to and access new music, including independent material. Record labels often look to the pools to provide valuable feedback as well as to break records. Below is Starfleet's most recent Top 20 off of its crossover chart. Below is also a link to Starfleet.
