Planet and comet

We lost an hour this weekend! And right at the beginning of the Arbitron Spring Book!

Speaking of Spring, here in the A-T-L, we have a hot one! It's already been 80 degrees!

To the business at hand... listen y'all - this issue is really phat... on tap is an interview with the wondrous Lalah Hathaway, and she's got somethin' to say. Check her out in Star Jazz...

Star Maker is back, and back with one of today's hottest, and I mean totally HOT, songwriter/producers - the incredible Bryan Michael Cox. This cat beat the Beatles record for No. 1 songs, and he's not even 30 years old. But he's humble and he, too, has somethin' to say... in Star Maker.

In addition to those provocative interviews, there's more... Star Radio. I chose to put a non-radio person in Star Radio because his message is vital. What prompted it is this: I was watching television and this ad for a major retailer came on promoting its Easter sale for clothing... there was this cute little girl, and then along comes her Dad and mom and a brother, then there's a Black kid, but he doesn't have a mom and dad, just a mom. I'm like... now why would they do that? Subtle racism or just plain ignorance? So, with that in mind, when Hill Harper's PR peeps came along and wanted me to interview him, once I reviewed the subject matter for his new book, I said "Yes!" He's talking about giving young Black males a sense of direction and destiny... read about it in Star Radio, and then... take it to your listeners!

Starpoynt has lots of other "stuff" this issue... Steve Harvey on the red carper in Detroit in Star Shots, Young Joc on the road, chart action from one of the hottest online stations in Europe in Star Charts and of course news in Star Dust.

Coming up... interviews with Doc Wynter, Princess Ivori, Keyshia Cole and more!

As always, we welcome your opinions, suggestions and input. Write us at Starpoynt@AOL.com. We also welcome contributions...

Stay safe, strong and blessed.
