March Madness! I know it's usually used to refer to the NCAA hoops tourney (Go Wisconsin! Go Marquette!), but it sure seems it can also refer to the industry. The FCC cracking down, Clear Channel dumping stations, radio icon PD Elroy Smith "shifted," record sales at an all-time low, even "American Idol" is under fire!

There are some shining stars - welcome Elisabeth Withers. From Broadway, this exciting singer has the potential to take the industry by storm (Lord knows we need a hero'heroine). On Blue Note/.EMI, she's out there promoting her debut CD and came through the A-T-L to court retail, radio and press... we got the photos in Star Shots!

Vesta is back with a new CD on Shanachie of R&B classics. She's still sassy and vivacious, so don't miss Starpoynt's exclusive interview in Star Trackers, and check out her new CD, "Distant Lover," available now!
